This webinar will feature NNLM SEA Health Information Outreach Project awardee Jessica Daly. She will present on her funded project, including:

1. Discuss the lack of Health Literacy within my hospital system and community
2. Share the plan created
3. Share the outreach efforts associated with the grant within the community (speaking events, ect.)
4. Share the Health Literacy Speaker Series (two guest speakers, state and national levels)
5. Give details about the Care for the Caregiver event
6. Discuss the ways in which the outreach has continued and grown.

Presenter Bio: Jessica Daly currently serves as the Consumer Health Librarian for Orlando Health Hospital System in Orlando, Florida. Each day she connects the importance of patient and caregiver health literacy to over-all health outcomes and quality of life for those within her community. She received a Bachelor of Science in Education as well as a Master of Library Science both from East Carolina University. Jessica is a published author, columnist and public speaker. She possesses the ability to inspire and encourage people through innovative and creative methods of instruction. With over 22 years’ experience as a professional educator and research librarian, Jessica brings to patients and families innate warmth paired with research based knowledge empowering them to improve their health and quality of life.
