Presenters: Christal Eshelman, Program Development Specialist at North Central Accountable Community of Health Chelan-Douglas Health District in East Wenatchee, WA
Christal will talk about the improvements made to the Chelan-Douglas Health District website. This Technology Improvement award aimed at improving the ability of English and Spanish speaking community members and healthcare professionals in Chelan and Douglas Counties, to find and use essential health information online. There was a strong need in our health jurisdiction to improve our web presence and the information that is offered to our residents via our website. Our new web design includes a user-friendly design, search function, mobile site, and provides necessary content in Spanish. Ultimately our improved web presence fosters a safer and healthier community for all populations by improving access to critical health information for both residents and providers and improving health literacy.

Class Overview

PNR Partners is an intermittent webinar series showcasing the work of our funding recipients. Each session includes two awardees highlighting their funded projects. Through hearing the inspiration, the challenges and successes, and the stories surrounding these projects, we hope our listeners will be inspired to create their own projects and apply for PNR funding. These funded projects have provided a much needed service in the Pacific Northwest communities.
Attending the live or viewing the recorded session qualifies for 1 MLA CE.
