PubMed® for Librarians: Automatic Term Mapping (ATM)
PubMed for Librarians: Automatic Term Mapping (ATM): is a synchronous, online session that includes hands-on exercises. Attend this class to learn about how PubMed uses Automatic Term Mapping (ATM) to map your keyword searches to the controlled vocabulary of the MeSH database. Learn how ATM allows you to effectively search PubMed with keywords. We will also look at the explosion feature, what is and isn't included in Search Details and lastly we will explore how to search for phrases in PubMed.
Suggested Prerequisite:. A basic understanding of Medical Subject Headings (MeSH).

PubMed for Librarians is made up of six 90-minute segments. These six segments will be presented via WebEx and recorded for archival access.
Each segment is meant to be a stand-alone module designed for each user to determine how many and in what sequence they attend.
The segments are designed to take 1.5 hours each and, if the live session is attended, along with any pre-requisite work completed, will earn 1.5 MLA Continuing Education hours. CE credit is not available for viewing the recording.
