The NNLM All of Us Partnership & Inside the Journey

Class Details

This PNR Rendezvous session will describe the NNLM All of Us Research Program partnership and what it means for libraries. It will then highlight the Journey, the All of Us Mobile Education and Enrollment Center’s four-day visit to Hailey, Idaho, hosted by the Hailey Public Library. LeAnn Gelskey, Hailey Public Library director, will share her experience facilitating the Journey’s visit. Come learn what’s inside and how your library can “get on board” and benefit from the NNLM All of Us Research Program partnership.

Presenters:

  • LeAnn Gelskey is the director of the Hailey Public Library located in the beautiful Wood River Valley. With over 18 years of experience in library services, she focuses on creating value and positive experiences for patrons and the community. Her skills include public administration, development of strategic partnerships, staff development, and facility management and renovation. When she’s not working, LeAnn enjoys camping, knitting, and reading historical fiction.
  • Michele Spatz currently serves as the National Network of Libraries of Medicine’s NNLM All of Us Community Outreach Coordinator. Prior to joining NNLM, Michele focused on an interdisciplinary approach to health literacy at Pacific University; worked as a consultant for Planetree, an international healthcare organization advocating patient-centered care; and founded, then directed for 20 years, a health resource center serving patients and the general public. Michele teaches, speaks nationally and has written extensively on reaching consumers and patients with meaningful health information. When she’s not working, Michele enjoys hiking, woodworking, and playing with her dog and two cats.
