Description: This session is designed to introduce health sciences librarians to the concepts of cultural competence and cultural humility as tools to add to their practice. This webinar will focus on the role of the librarian as colleague and librarian as an instructor. Necessarily this webinar will link the concepts of cultural competence and cultural humility to healthcare which is the stakeholder community whom health sciences librarians support. We will explore personal identities and cultures and how those particular elements translate to a deliberate practice of cultural competence & cultural humility in the workplace.

Topics include National Library of Medicine resources, new trends in health care and librarianship, data management, mobile trends and other topics.
