Healthy Aging: Celebrate National Senior Health & Fitness Day® with “Go4Life”

Class Details

Go4Life, an exercise and physical activity campaign from the National Institute on Aging (NIA) at National Institutes of Health (NIH), is designed to help older adults or really anyone fit exercise and physical activity into their daily life.

This webinar focuses on the Go4Life program along with other programs of NIA . Resources on healthy aging from the National Library of Medicine’s, trusted health information web site, MedlinePlus will also be highlighted. The session will introduce library staff, healthcare professionals and community outreach educators to the free Go4Life materials that will be useful in planning and promoting future programs. By offering this webinar we are encouraging our NNLM members to promote and sponsor exercise events and other related activities using the free Go4Life® materials and toolkit not only on this special day but throughout the year.

The webinar supports the 26th anniversary of National Senior Health & Fitness Day®, the nation’s annual largest older adult health and wellness event on Wednesday, May 29, 2019. It is part of programming made available by the NNLM All of Us National Program. For more resources like this, please visit the Community Engagement Network (CEN) website.
