Join us for an exploration of the National Library of Medicine's drug resources: Drug Information Portal, LactMed, Pillbox, and DailyMed.
<strong>Shannon M. Jordan, MPH</strong>
Shannon Jordan is a chemist at the National Institutes of Health, National Library of Medicine who manages and develops environmental health and toxicology databases as a member of the chemical information team. Ms. Jordan is also involved in outreach by providing training and developing curriculum and materials to assist students and professionals working in environmental health and toxicology fields, as well as, general public health. Ms. Jordan received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Master of Public Health degrees from Howard University in Washington, D.C.
David Hale is an information technology specialist at the National Library of Medicine, part of the National Institutes of Health. Mr. Hale is project lead for Pillbox, a drug identification, reference, and image resource. He also is developing a new project to make many of NLM’s data resources available on a single online platform to support exploration, discovery, and development. Mr. Hale received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Science from the University of Maryland.

NNLM Resource Picks is a collaborative, bimonthly, webcast series featuring the National Library of Medicine resources to increase awareness of these resources as well as encourage their integration by libraries and other organizations to more fully serve their colleagues and communities. The Regional Medical Libraries (RMLs) of the National Network of Libraries are combining efforts to feature resource experts from NLM for this national webinar series. Each session includes objectives, participation of attendees through questions and opportunities to dialog, and evaluation following the presentation. All sessions are presented as online webcasts using WebEx allowing for live phone conversation and online chat. All sessions are recorded with closed captioning and archived.
