Taking Action to Prevent Youth Violence

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) defines “youth violence” as “when youth between the ages of 10 and 24 years intentionally use physical force or power to threaten or harm other people.” Youth violence can take different forms and can affect the whole community.

Everyone has an important role is stopping youth violence, according to the CDC’s Injury prevention & Control Program. Two new resources provide information and list step to take:  Preventing Youth Violence: Opportunities for Action; and Taking Action to Prevent Youth Violence
