National Women’s Health Week

National Women’s Health Week – May 12 – 18, 2013 – provides communities, stakeholders and health care providers with the opportunity to focus attention on women’s mental and physical health concerns.  To help women live longer, healthier lives and reduce the risk of certain diseases, providers and communities can promote:

  • Regular checkups and preventive screenings
  • Physical activity
  • Healthy eating
  • Improving mental health
  • Avoiding risky behaviors (ie, smoking, not wearing a seatbelt)
