Smoking and Mental Illness

The  Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Vital Signs offers recent data and calls to action for important public health issues. The February issue addresses Amoking and Mental Illness. Adults with mental Illness are 70% more likely to smoke than adults with no mental illness. The CDC is partnering with other agencies to reduce tobacco use among people with mental illness.  See their web pages for graphics and charts, fact sheet, and multimedia resources to help.
