Introduction to NLM Resources
Abstract
This one hour class will introduce resources from the US National Library of Medicine including the National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NN/LM), PubMed/MEDLINE and MedlinePlus. Attention will also be paid to the Environmental Health and Toxicology Portal, the Drug Information Portal, and the Disaster Information Management Research Center. Specific resources relevant to class attendees will be examined, such as the Household Products Database, LactMed, TOXMAP, Tox Town, and WISER.
Objectives
Participants will become familiar with NLM services, databases and portals.
