Step One: Getting Started

New DOCLINE Library?
If you are just getting started, with a brand-new DOCLINE account, you should begin by completing the information in your library's Institutions record. Then you should enter your library's Serial Holdings information.

New DOCLINE User at Existing DOCLINE Library?
If you are using an already-established account, you should still review your library's Institutions and Serial Holdings data to make sure they are correct.

Keep this information up-to-date! DOCLINE will not work correctly if your library's Institutions and Serial Holdings records are incorrect. Your requests may be sent to the wrong libraries, may be delayed, or may not be filled. In addition, your colleagues in other DOCLINE libraries rely on this information. Plan to review your records at least once a year.

Step Two: Borrow and Lend

Once you've laid the foundation with Institutions and Serial Holdings, you're ready to reap the benefits. You can now use DOCLINE Requests to participate in an international resource sharing network.
