Use DOCLINE Hold While You Are Attending MLA
When you are going to be away from your library, you take certain steps to assure that your users are aware of your absence. You update your voicemail message and hopefully, you update you status in your DOCLINE account. When you plan to be away three or more working days, use the electronic DOCLINE Hold Request form to allow DOCLINE to not route requests to you when you are not there to handle them. Please complete the form several days in advance so the regional staff can get it keyed into the DOCLINE system.
While on hold Loansome Doc libraries, will not accept requests from registered users. If patrons have a secondary serving library selected in their account, the system will automatically choose that active DOCLINE library for their Loansome Doc request, till you come off of ‘hold’ status.
