As consultant to SE/A network members and internal SE/A staff, Andrew is responsible for the identification and development of programs that address technology and evaluative needs within the SE/A region as an effort to improve access to biomedical information among health professionals, librarians, health consumers, and the public. He is a member of the Medical Library Association (MLA), MLA, Southern Chapter, and MLA Mid-Atlantic Chapter. Andrew teaches NN/LM classes that include: “Geeks Bearing Gifts: Unwrapping New Technology Trends”; “Super Searcher: Enhancing Your Online Search Super Powers”; “Screencasting: Creating Online Tutorials”; and “Measuring Your Impact: Using Evaluation for Library Advocacy”.
Andrew’s professional experience includes librarianship in the corporate, academic, and healthcare, and government sectors and current areas of interest include emerging technologies in libraries and education, instructional design, biomedical and learning informatics, big data, the Internet of Things, accessibility, and mobile delivery of scholarly content.
