Areas of Responsibility:
- Coordinates outreach activities in the sub-region of Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia
- Offers training featuring NLM databases and resources such as PubMed, the Drug Information Portal, and Clinicaltrials.gov to health professionals and health sciences librarians.
- Coordinates the exhibits program; staffs and recruits others to staff the exhibit
- Along with the other outreach coordinators, designs the traveling exhibit, outreach publicity, and promotional materials for use in outreach activities.
- Distributes promotional materials to network members.
- Hosts quarterly web conference of SE/A hospital librarians.
Bio:
Toni Yancey, Outreach/Exhibits Coordinator for the National Network of Libraries of Medicine/Southeastern Atlantic (NN/LM SE/A), has worked as a medical librarian for over ten years. Since 2000, she has educated health professionals about the products and services of the National Library of Medicine (NLM) by conducting training sessions throughout the Southeast and exhibiting at state and regional meetings of health care professionals and consumers. Prior to working at SE/A, Toni worked as an Information Resources Specialist at one of the world’s largest drug development companies.
