Areas of Responsibility

Works with DOCLINE, SERHOLD, Loansome Doc, membership drives and initiatives and for communications such as SEA Currents, our newsletter blog.
Offers training and education in DOCLINE, Emergency Preparedness Planning, and Health Literacy
- Classes include:
  - Getting the Most Out of DOCLINE
  - Easy to Read Health and Wellness Material
  - Intersection of Informed Consent and Clear Health Communication
Fosters partnerships and collaborations with regional consortia, library groups and emergency preparedness initiatives.
Monitors subcontracts/ awards for network access, licensing, data management and emergency preparedness.

Bio:

Beth Wescott is the Network Access Coordinator at the National Network of Libraries of Medicine Southeastern/Atlantic Region. She works with DOCLINE, serials holdings, EFTS, membership and publications, exhibits, teaches and monitors reports on borrowing and lending activities among the region’s members. Prior to joining the NN/LM, Beth worked as the knowledge manager for Maryland’s Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and served as the librarian for the National AIDS Clearinghouse throughout the 1990’s. She received a Master’s of Library Science from the University of Maryland, College Park. Beth enjoys grandchildren, reading, making her specialty chocolate-chip sour cream cake and listening to books on CDs as she drives.
