Print Collection Retention and Access Ad-hoc Committee
The Ad-Hoc Committee on Print Collection Retention and Access in the SE/A will carry out the recommendations of the SE/A task force convened in year 04 of the 2006-2011.
The Ad-Hoc Committee is charged to:
- Identify agencies in the SE/A in which resource libraries are involved for retention of print resources or any regional agencies with print retention policies and agreements in place for potential collaborative opportunities.
- Develop a model memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the regional medical library to use for print collection retention in the SE/A.
- Analyze SERHOLD holding lists of Abridged Index Medicus titles and identify resource libraries willing to enter into an agreement to retain those titles.
- Develop regional resources or programming to educate SE/A members about print retention such as meeting programming, toolkit of information or webpage of resources for SE/A or others.
- Recommend future directions for retention of print resources in the SE/A.
