To become approved, contact Re Mishra, ruicha.mishra@exch.library.tmc.edu or 1-800-338-7657 (AR, LA, NM, OK, TX).

Approved instructors need to annually submit the CPE Disclosure Form to Re Mishra. The disclosure forms for all instructors will be kept on file at the NN/LM SCR office.

All CPE activities must meet the standards of the ACPE Standards and Criteria.

Steps for Conducting CPE Activities

  1. The instructor needs to complete and submit the Class Information Sheet to Re Mishra at least 45 days before the educational activity is supposed to be conducted.
  2. Publicity materials need to follow the instructions on the Publicity Requirements sheet. Sample flyers are provided.
  3. Class materials and training should be based on the education goals and learning objectives for each class.

Definitions of continuing pharmacy education and the competency requirements for Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians can be found in the Standard 1-Definition of Continuing Education for the Profession of Pharmacy.

You are encouraged to utilize a variety of instructional techniques to foster active participation. Use the class materials mentioned above as a guide to instructional techniques. In addition, you are required to provide feedback to the participants during the class. Review the exercises during the class and provide feedback about the correct answers and searching methods.  Exercise sheets need to be collected after the class. Instructors should follow up with participants when incorrect answers warrant further instruction.

  4. Attendees need to submit a completed evaluation form to the instructor to receive credit for the class. Sample evaluations are provided.
  5. Instructors need to follow the instructions on the Statement of Credit Requirements sheet in order for attendees to receive proof of attendance and credit for the activity. A sample is provided.
  6. Instructors need to submit copies of completed evaluations, publicity materials and class roster within 1 month after the training has been completed.
