Passing your iPhone around a group isn’t necessarily the only way to let your audience get a feel for a mobile site. Why not show off a mobile site by using an emulator? Emulators are designed to imitate the view you would see if you were to view a mobile site on a handheld device or a smartphone but often in a larger format. With many emulators you can interact with a mobile site, such as MedlinePlus mobile, and even perform searches. Some of the most popular emulators allow you to use a PC or Mac to demonstrate how a site looks on the iPhone (see image). 
Keep in mind that a mobile site is different from a mobile application or mobile app. A mobile site has a unique URL, you will not need to download anything to visit the site or to interact with it.
To use an emulator such as the ones listed below, you will need to type in the URL for the site you want to visit. Many mobile sites have a distinct URL which feature an additional m, http://m.medlineplus.gov for example, or the word mobile, as is seen in University of Texas Southwestern Library’s mobile site http://www4.utsouthwestern.edu/library/mobile/. Most emulators do not allow you to demonstrate mobile applications such as those that an individual must download from the iTunes store. Other options, however, do exist. I have provided some of my favorites below.
Free website. Allows you to type in any URL to view the page as it would appear on an iPhone.

Firefox add-on. After installation you will be able to view websites in iPhone mode by going to File then Open Location (iPhone Mode).

MobiOne is an iPhone and PlamPre emulator. Requires download but provides ability to see how a site will look on either device as well as how the site looks when the screen is rotated.
