On July 21, 2011, the Dallas-Fort Worth Health Libraries Information Network (HealthLINE) will sponsor a panel discussion on opportunities and challenges in medical librarianship and the cooperation between medical libraries and library schools. This event will begin at 10 a.m. at the Blagg-Huey Library, Texas Woman’s University, in Denton, Texas.

Panelists will discuss a wide range of topics, including available options in library science education; questions about library management, collections, and technology; job opportunities and interviewing tips/hints; and more!
Please register for this event . There is no cost to attend, but registration is required so that we may adequately accommodate all attendees. Driving directions and parking information will be provided as part of the registration confirmation email.
A short HealthLINE business meeting will be held before the panel discussion, beginning at 9 a.m. The panel discussion will follow at 10 a.m. and is anticipated to end at 12:30 p.m. Attendance at the business meeting is not required to attend the panel discussion.
