Web-based course: Demonstrating Your Value
Budgets are shrinking. However, department needs are not. We know that health sciences libraries can affect student learning, research, faculty instruction, and patient care. How can you describe that impact when many other departments are competing for the same, limited funds? “Demonstrating Value: Can Journals Compete with Mouse Cages In Institutional Budgets?” will reveal strategies for practical evaluation and user-centered assessment. After completing this course, you’ll be better prepared with the right data when a budget administrator asks, “How do I decide between journals for the library and mouse cages for the research program?”
8 hrs MLA CE credits.
Two sessions offered online, April 2010 and May 2010:
Session 1: 4/26 – 4/29
Session 2: 5/11 – 5/14
