Haiti Earthquake-Related Health Information and News on Twitter and Facebook

The Disaster Information Management Research Center, Specialized Information Services Division (SIS), of the National Library of Medicine (NLM) has compiled two lists of organizations which are using Facebook and Twitter to provide health information and/or news relevant to the situation in Haiti.

Below are two lists: the first is sites with health information and the second list is organizations’ sites that are reporting their activities.

1. The following Twitter and Facebook sources are providing substantive health information along with situational awareness news. They are also listed on the Haiti Earthquake page from NLM at http://sis.nlm.nih.gov/dimrc/haitiearthquake.html#a4.
