NLM’s Specialized Information Services New Resource:ToxLearn
The National Library of Medicine’s (NLM) Specialized Information Services has released a new resource, ToxLearn, http://toxlearn.nlm.nih.gov/ . ToxLearn is a joint project of NLM’s Toxicology and Environmental Health Information Project (TEHIP) and the U.S. Society of Toxicology (SOT).
ToxLearn is a multi-module online learning tool that provides an introduction to toxicology. It can be used as an ancillary curriculum to a first-level undergraduate toxicology course, and can provide users of NLM’s toxicology databases with a working knowledge of basic toxicology principles. It does not require any prerequisite knowledge beyond a basic understanding of biology and chemisty.
Only Module One will be released at this time with additional modules to come later.
