HHS Unveils New Food Safety Consumer Website
The United States Department of Health and Human Services has debuted a new consumer-oriented website designed to promote food safety for consumers.
FoodSafety.gov (http://www.foodsafety.gov/) is subtitled “Your Gateway to Federal Food Safety Information”, and provides a wealth of resources on keeping food safe, food poisoning, food recalls and alerts, and more. Information is also organized into three food categories: meat, poultry, fish; eggs & dairy products; and fruits & vegetables.
Links are provided to a variety of free multimedia (including podcasts, videos, and e-cards) and educational materials about food safety from federal government agencies and the Partnership for Food Safety Education.
