Here are some highlights from the NLM Technical Bulletin issue from July-August 2012:
For those who Retrieve History of Medicine Citations in MEDLINE/PubMed, there is an article about easily using the new filters on the left sidebar to select the Subjects filter, then select History of Medicine. See the article for details.
ClinicalTrials.gov was updated with a new style and new content! ClinicalTrials.gov is the NLM-developed Web-based registry and results database of clinical research studies. Go here for details.
The article, New App Serves as Guide to NLM Mobile , highlights a new mobile app that serves as a gateway to NLM mobile resources. It covers all major platforms.
We are excited to see that the NLM Drug Information Portal has gone Mobile.
PMC, also known as PubMed Central, received a facelift! This redesign allows for a cleaner and more uniform presentation across PMC’s site, as well as its article, issue, and journal archive pages.
In the July/August issue of the Technical Bulletin, there are also articles addressing NIH Public Access policy and the eRA Commons, registry number identifiers for chemicals in the MeSH Database, and MedlinePlus XML files and web service enhancements.
