Do you have historical materials that could be of benefit to scholars and researchers?

The collections described in the Directory of History of Medicine Collections from the National Library of Medicine provide research, reference, and interlibrary loan services to scholars and researchers interested in the history of the health sciences, including medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, nursing, and pharmacy. U.S. and foreign collections are included. Each collection record includes the scope of coverage and services provided, specific information about holdings and guides to the collection, and the name of a contact person. The Directory is an online version of the History of Medicine component of DIRLINE (Directory of Information Resources Online), an NLM database.

Libraries, archives, and museums which have relevant holdings and can respond to reference questions and, in the case of libraries, interlibrary loan requests are encouraged to become part of the DIRLINE History of Medicine component. Nine institutions from the NN/LM Pacific Southwest Region are included in the Directory. Please consider participating if you have relevant resources.

The Directory and information about how to participate in it can be found at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/hmd/directory/index.html.
