Have you checked your DOCLINE routing table for closed libraries?

In the RML office, we follow changes in our members’ status. Sometimes those changes involve DOCLINE — such as when a DOCLINE library merges with another, when it ceases to participate in DOCLINE, or when the library closes. We have gathered this list to remind other DOCLINE libraries to regularly check their DOCLINE routing tables and remove libraries that are listed as “Closed” or “Not a DOCLINE Library”.

The easiest way to update your routing table to remove closed or former DOCLINE libraries is to:

  1. Log into DOCLINE, click on Institutions, then click on Update [LIBID]
  2. Click on Edit Routing Table (it’s on the left sidebar)
  3. Check each cell, looking for “Closed” or “Not a DOCLINE Library”
  4. Check the boxes for libraries with these designations and then click “Delete”
  5. When you have gone through all cells, click on “Request Approval”
  6. Note: Do NOT check the boxes for libraries marked “Inactive” — they are probably on vacation or otherwise out of the office.

When you click on “Request Approval”, a message will come to our office, and we will review and approve your routing table changes.

Do you have these libraries in your routing table?
