NLM Resource Grant Applications Are Due October 1, 2005
October 1 is the next deadline for receipt of new Resource Grant applications by the National Library of Medicine (NLM).
Resource grants are designed to improve the dissemination, management and use of biomedical information. They help health-related organizations provide their health professionals, staff, researchers, librarians, clients and the public with access to high-quality digital health information resources and information services at the point of need. Domestic public or private, non-profit health-related organizations are eligible to apply.
Resource Grant Programs include NLM Knowledge Management & Applied Informatics Grants (formerly called Translational Informatics Grants), which supersede and expand Information System grants; and Integrated Advanced Information Management System (IAIMS) Grants. A summary and complete list of Resource Grant Programs offered by NLM is at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/ep/Resource.html.
Resources for first time applicants are at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/ep/ForApplicants.html. Fundamentals of NLM Extramural Grants is a PowerPoint slide presentation that introduces the different kinds of grant programs offered by NLM’s Extramural Programs Division. This slideshow, which also describes some features of successful grant applications, is at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/ep//NLM-EPfundamentalsweb.ppt.
