HHS Seeks Input on Offering Non-Federal Data on Web Portal
HHS is seeking public comment on the type of non-federal health data and health indicator data sets that it should promote for inclusion in a forthcoming Web portal, according to a Federal Register notice published Thursday, Government Health IT reports.
The portal, called HealthData.gov, will offer a variety of data sets to help software developers create new innovative health-related tools, such as:
- Dashboards; and
- Web-based resources.
HHS said the new data sets could come from surveys conducted by state governments or private organizations. The agency said the data will not include an individual’s personal health information (Mosquera, Government Health IT, 1/27).
