Staff Moves!

Judy Consales, Information Technology Coordinator, has accepted an appointment as Deputy Director of the Louise M. Darling Biomedical Library at UCLA. She will start her new position on May 3, 1999. We will miss the expertise and enthusiasm Judy has brought to her position at PSRML, but look forward to continuing to work with her in her new role!

We are very glad to announce an official change in status for Michael Miller, who has served as office manager for the last three years. His position has been reclassified as Computer Resource Specialist and he now provides support for all our computer hardware and software, as well as managing our listservs and Web site. In fact, we all depend on him, literally, to be able to do our jobs!

Karen Ricard is the newest addition to the PSRML team, joining us on April 1st as the Administrative Assistant and office manager for PSRML. Karen previously worked in the University Extension offices here at UCLA and is interested in eventually pursuing a career in librarianship. Since she serves as the receptionist for our office, you'll all soon get to know the sound of her vioce. Please join us in welcoming Karen to the Network.

We are also very please to announce that Heidi Sandstrom, who has served as Network Cordinator for the last two years, will be taking over the newly created position of Consumer Health Information Services Coordinator in the upcoming contract year. Heidi will assume her new duties as of July 1st. Her background in nursing and her expanding involvement with public libraries through the Library of California initiatve will prove significant as she coordinates this new area of service within PSRML.
