MEDLINEplus Update
Several new features debuted on MEDLINEplus and MEDLINEplus en español in November.
Easy-to-Read pages, available in both English and Spanish, bring together the popular Interactive Health Tutorials and other easy-to-read materials by topic. Find these pages by clicking on the "Easy-to-Read" graphic on the Health Topics page. The pages include links to printer-friendly versions and the ability to email the link or the entire contents of the page.
The Organizations page, available from the Other Resources section, now includes all organizations with pages linked in MEDLINEplus. The alphabetical pages include printer-friendly and email links.
You can now sign up for weekly lists of news and links on specialty topics including Women's Health, Seniors' Health, Mental Health, and Diabetes. These lists are available via the "Sign up now!" link on the homepage of MEDLINEplus, in addition to the e-mail announcement lists that cover all health topics.
You can now find information about prescription and over-the-counter medications on MEDLINEplus en español. The first 200 records from MedMaster, from the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, are now available and all of MedMaster will be available in Spanish by the end of 2004.
Spanish-speaking users can now view health and wellness articles from the news and information company Healthday. These articles are featured on the MEDLINEplus en español home pages on the Noticias (News) and on appropriate topic pages. Articles are available in a print version and can be emailed to a friend.
