Is Your Library Listed in MEDLINEplus?
MEDLINEplus includes a list of libraries in the United States and Canada that provide service to local residents. Users can find this listing by going to Other Resources on MEDLINEplus and clicking on a state or province. They will then see a display, arranged by city, with the following information:
- Institution name
- Library name
- Street address, city, state, zip code
- Main library phone number
- Consumer health home page or library home page
To have your library listed, logon to DOCLINE and go to your DOCUSER record. Under the Services tab, check "Authorizes listing in MEDLINEplus". Double check your institutional address, your main phone number, and your library's URLs. MEDLINEplus will first look for a URL for a consumer health home page. If there is none available, it will look for the main library URL. Think about how you want your listing to look.
