Farewell Elaine Graham

Elaine Graham will be departing PSRML at the end of May 2003 to move with her family to Whidbey Island, Washington. Departures are never easy and saying adieu to Elaine will be difficult. Since rejoining the PSRML staff as Associate Director in February, 2000, we've all appreciated Elaine's warm thoughtfulness and many contributions. She arrived with bright ideas and an outlook enhanced by outside experiences that translated successfully into a new contract proposal. Elaine coordinated the effort that once again brought a five year contract renewal to Region 7. It is only fitting that she recently concluded budget negotiations with NLM for Year 3 of this contract and leaves us prepared to continue work for the next budget period. Her efforts in promoting consumer health, EFTS, and outreach shaped new standards for PSRML. Elaine's extensive knowledge and sensitivity to regional needs and interests have been hallmarks of her tenure. Please join us in offering a fond goodbye to Elaine — we will miss her and wish her the very best in all future endeavors!  JC
