New Online Directory for California Consumer Health Libraries

The Consumer Health Library Directory (CALIFORNIA EDITION) is now online at http://nnlm.gov/hip/chdir/! It has been created to improve public access to consumer health information services and collections provided by National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NN/LM) libraries in California.

The Directory is a product of a cooperative effort between the California State Library and the Pacific Southwest Regional Medical Library. Directory questionnaires were originally sent to both public libraries and members of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NNLM) in California. After evaluating the responses, however, it was decided to include at this time only NN/LM member libraries that provide consumer health information services in the Directory.

At the present time, this Directory includes a subset of NN/LM consumer health libraries in CALIFORNIA that have agreed to be included in a public directory. If your library is in ARIZONA, HAWAII, NEVADA, or the PACIFIC BASIN, and you are interested in being included in a later version of this public Directory, please let us know via the "We welcome your comments" link found at the bottom of each page.

You can print the entire directory (PDF format) or search it by Institution Name, City, or Library of California (LOC) Region.

Data in the Directory are updated as changes are submitted by the libraries represented. If you wish to add your library to the Directory, you may submit a request electronically at http://nnlm.gov/hip/chdir/add.html.
