Requests to NLM for Cochrane Database Materials

NLM recently began supplying documents from the Cochrane Database in order to fill DOCLINE requests for them. All requests for Cochrane materials routed to NLM will be filled by MAIL regardless of the requested delivery method. The reasons for this are:

  1. Fulfillment of these requests is outside the mainstream of ILL processing at NLM and cannot be done through our Relais system. Each one requires a technician to locate the material online and print it.
  2. Because the average length of these documents is 35 pages, faxing or sending them via Ariel is impractical.

Thank you for your understanding. We hope that if you request Cochrane Database materials, you are satisfied with NLM's service.
