Areas of Responsibility
- Responsible for the consumer health information outreach program in the Pacific Southwest Region
- Conducts demonstrations and offers support for consumer health resources from the National Library of Medicine (NLM) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH), including MedlinePlus, ClinicalTrials.gov, NIHSeniorHealth, and other authoritative resources
- Promotes NLM and National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NN/LM) resources and programs
- Provides oversight for the NN/LM PSR technology program
- Develops and provides training in the areas of consumer health services and appropriate technology
