Look Again At Our Web Site! |
Drum roll, please! The Pacific Northwest Region of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine presents our redesigned Web site. Our home page is still at http://nnlm.gov/pnr/ but you'll notice that its look is very different. It has more than just a new format and new colors. There are tabs near the top of the page to quickly direct our audiences to the most useful information and services. We have provided navigational aids such as "Topics A-to-Z," a search capability, and the "PNR QuickIndex" (which takes you to frequently used resources with a click of the mouse). You'll see that our new home page is titled "Are you a Librarian or Health Educator?" This page features services and resources for our network members, including links to the regional directory, document delivery resources, and funding opportunities. In the "News" box, you'll find that our newsletter, Dragonfly, and the HLIB-NW discussion list are highlighted, along with other sources of timely information. A click on the tabs for "Are you a health professional?" and "Looking for Medical or Health Information?" takes you to links chosen for those audiences.
Our revamped site is up and running, but it will always be a work in progress. A Web site is not a static object but changes and grows, much like the organization it reflects. We will modify our site to reflect your comments and to accommodate our constituencies' evolving needs. The RML Web Group team - Susan Barnes, Michael Boer, Cathy Burroughs and Maryanne Blake - looks forward to hearing from you! Send your comments and suggestions to nnlm@u.washington.edu.
