DOCLINE Holds |
Libraries in AK, ID, MT, OR, WA:
If you'll be away for the holidays for five or more work days, remember that you can place a temporary hold on your DOCLINE account by using the form at http://nnlm.gov/libinfo/docline/dochold.html or sending email to Susan Barnes at sjbarnes@u.washington.edu.
A "temporary hold" means that no requests will route to your library. You can still use your account for borrowing. We can do this for you any time of the year when your library will be unstaffed for five working days or longer. But we're sending this reminder out now since many libraries close and many library staff take vacation during the last part of December and the beginning of January.
So, no need to send messages to MEDLIB-L or HLIB-NW about your DOCLINE going unread while you are away! Just place a temporary hold on your account. It's quick, painless, and only your DOCLINE coordinator will know for sure!
