Cheryl Goodwin, M.Libr., Librarian
Robert Price, M.D., Neurologist:
I have found my Internet connection particularly useful in getting "instantly" new systems operating software from my software supplier; I run a LAN here in our office for our neurology lab.I have used e-mail extensively in communicating with my librarian and would like to use it more to communicate with my colleagues around the world.
I was particularly happy to find, on the Internet, a database on repetitive strain injuries. Some experts have put together an electronic newsletter that updates me on what prosthetic devices are available to prevent and treat repetitive strain injuries -- like special keyboards to help prevent carpal tunnel syndrome.
It's not very user-friendly yet and there's quite a learning curve. I think I've only scratched the surface of what is out there on the Internet; there's a lot more to access than I've reached.
