Director's Corner
As we enter a new year, it is customary to look back over what we have accomplished in 2003. Here at the NER, we began the 3rd year of our 5 year contract. Javier Crespo became our Associate Director. Michelle Eberle was hired as the Consumer Health Coordinator. We had an extremely succesful NLM site visit in June, which helped us to focus on our achievements and plan for the future. We've awarded a number of subcontracts and cost reimbursement awards designed to increase access to health information to health professionals and the citizens of the New England Region. We exhibited at numerous state, local and national health professional meetings, consumer health fairs, and library association meetings. We hosted, planned and taught numerous classes on PubMed, Linkout, etc. 2003 was a very busy year for the NER Staff On behalf of all of us at the NER, I wish everyone a Happy New Year!
