Funding Opportunity: Ethnic Community Self Help Program (Refugees)
The Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) is pleased to announce the publication of the Ethnic Community Self-Help Program Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA). ORR invites eligible entities to submit competitive grant applications for funding of the Ethnic Community Self-Help Program, to provide services to newly arriving refugees. The objectives of this program are to strengthen organized ethnic communities comprised and representative of refugee populations, and to ensure ongoing support and culturally appropriate services to refugees within five years of their initial resettlement.
Eligible Applicants: This Funding Announcement is limited to Ethnic Community Based Organizations (ECBO) only.
An ECBO is a non-profit organization that was founded and is led by a refugee individual or a group of refugees and immigrants, primarily to serve a specific refugee group from one or multiple ethnicities. Refugees/individuals of refugee origin must comprise a minimum of 60 per cent of the organization’s board.
Estimated Total Funding: $3,000,000
Average Projected Award Amount: $150,000 per Budget Period
