Authors Needed-Special JMLA issue on Ethics
I have been asked by Dixie Jones, current MLA President, to be the guest editor for a special issue of JMLA on ethics. The articles in this issue will consist of full length papers, systematic reviews, case studies or research reports and/or brief communications. You can find the Information for Authors here <http://www.mlanet.org/publications/jmla/jmlainfo.html> for guidelines and descriptions of the types of articles including full-length papers, brief communications and case studies. Be advised, that these will be research papers, not opinion pieces.
I am asking in this email if you might be interested in writing an article or know someone who might be interested. Some suggested topics include (but this is not an exhaustive list)
* Personnel (HR)
* Collection Development
* Scholarly Communication
* Consumer Health
* Other Suggestions
If you are interested, please contact me by June 30 with your proposed topic. If selected for consideration, authors will be required to submit a 200 word abstract to me by August 30, 2013. Completed manuscripts should be submitted by February 1, 2014 and will go through the regular peer review process. Since Dixie and I will have already reviewed each manuscript, the peer review process should be expedited. The publication date for this issue is October 2014.
Please contact me if you have any questions or are interested in submitting an abstract. Please forward to anyone who you think might be interested in submitting an article.
Many thanks in advance.
