PSR sponsors “Diagnostic Error: A Multidisciplinary Exploration” Register Now!
There are still open slots for the full-day MLA CE course “Diagnostic Error: A Multidisciplinary Exploration,” being sponsored by NN/LM PSR on Friday, March 1, at Long Beach Memorial / Miller Children’s Hospital, Center for Health Education, Houssels Forum, with instructors Mark Graber, Barb Jones, and Lorri Zipperer. This free, interactive workshop for medical decision makers and information professionals focuses on how multidisciplinary teams can contribute to the reduction of diagnostic error. The session will highlight the collaborative roles of clinicians and librarians/informationists to reduce factors contributing to diagnostic error.
The invitation to bring a clinical partner isn’t a requirement for the class, but rather a suggestion. Several clinicians have registered for the class, which should meet the goal of expanding the class perspective regarding diagnostic error. To see a detailed class description, instructor biographies, location information, and to access the registration link, please visithttp://nnlm.gov/ntcc/classes/class_details.html?class_id=559. If you encounter any difficulties using the registration system, please contact Kay Deeney, NN/LM PSR Educational Services Coordinator, firstname.lastname@example.org. For specific questions related to course content, please contact Lorri Zipperer, email@example.com. Please register by Friday, February 22. (bbj)
