E-science forum — The Research Lifecycle: Partnering for Success
Librarians and Researchers in an e-science collaboration result in successful research. What do librarians need to know about big data and tools? What can researchers gain from working with librarians? The Research Lifecycle: Partnering for Success (http://nnlm.gov/2013escience/) will explore these questions. You’ll hear the latest on what’s happening with big data from keynote speaker, Victoria Stodden, who has focused on developing standards of openness for data and code sharing, and solving legal and policy barriers. Hear from panelists about tools–eagle-i , VIVO, Data Management Planning Tool, REDCap– that help librarians and researchers collaborate and deal with data generated by research. This is a hybrid session with presenters located in Seattle and Salt Lake City and participants located in Seattle, Portland, and Salt Lake City.
