Join a Value of Library Studies
Dear Network Members,
The NN/LM MCR is very supportive of any effort to produce evidence that illustrates the roles libraries play in health care. You may have seen invitations from our colleagues in the Middle Atlantic Region (NN/LM MAR) inviting you to participate in their value of libraries study. http://nnlm.gov/mar/about/value.html
The J. Otto Lottes Health Sciences Library at the University of Missouri, Columbia has organized our own regional value of libraries study. The first phase of testing the methodology and producing questions is in the data collection, analysis, and reporting stage. This summer an invitation to participate went to all Network members via the MCR-MCMLA listserv. We received a good response from Colorado, Missouri, and Utah. If you’re a hospital or academic health sciences library in Kansas, Nebraska and Wyoming, we would love to have you participate in the study so that we can do a regional comparison! Contact Barb Jones, Missouri/Library Advocacy Liaison (jonesbarb@health.missouri.edu) or your state liaison for more information about participating.
DEADLINE to indicate interest in participation: November 15, 2010
You now have a choice to participate in either the MCR or MAR study. We would prefer that you participate in ours, but of course we’re biased. [smile] /ch and bj
