Mark your calendar for our next Breezing session with MCR liaisons, Sharon Dennis and Dana Abbey.
1) Sharon Dennis will introduce Doreen Roberts, Librarian at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth Minnesota, who will present an overview of a selection of mHealth apps for both clinical and consumer uses, including some she has used successfully for her own personal health.
2) Dana Abbey will introduce guest speaker Helen MacFarlane, MA, Director of Educational Technology at the University of Colorado’s School of Medicine. For over 2,000 years artists have told the intricate story of the human body through medical illustration. MacFarlane will provide insight into the skills needed to be a successful illustrator, how medical illustration assists in communicating complex medical and scientific information, and how medical illustration has evolved with technology.
