The major bills now pending before Congress include a number of key provisions that could either directly or indirectly have an impact on reducing health disparities affecting racial and ethnic minorities. Racial and ethnic minorities represent only one-third of the total U.S. population, but they comprise more than 50 percent of the nation’s uninsured. Navigating Health Insurance Data Just Got Easier

Using currently available sources of health insurance data can be time consuming and cumbersome for both policymakers and researchers. In addition, tracking these estimates over time is an outright challenge. A new web-based tool, developed by researchers at the State Health Access Data Assistance Center (SHADAC), allows quick and easy access to health insurance coverage estimates and trends.
