Kate Flewelling, Outreach was launched in 2000 by the National Library of Medicine (NLM).  In 2008, as a result of Section 801 of the Food and Drug Administration Amendments Act of 2007, was expanded to include basic results reporting, including adverse effects.  Due to reporting bias, results reported in may not be published anywhere else.

PubMed Health is a resource from National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) announced in 2011 providing easy-to-read consumer guides of comparative effectiveness research (CER), fact sheets on diseases and conditions, information on drugs and supplements, overviews of health topics, and links to external websites.
