- Exploring new roles for hospital libraries
- Providing support, advocacy, and consultation for hospital librarians in project planning
- Providing support to hospitals who offer library services to consumers, patients, and family members in their communities
- Providing training opportunities to incorporate evidence-based practice

- Exhibiting and presenting at your professional conference
- Support for resource sharing and document delivery
- MARDelivery is a free service to enable libraries to send links to ILL articles they lend, rather than emailing large attachments
- Free educational materials for order and download on National Library of Medicine (NLM) resources
- Free consultation on Program Planning and Evaluation Resources
- Funding opportunities for health information outreach
- The Traveling Exhibition Program is available to member libraries to enhance awareness of and appreciation for the oustanding NLM collections
- Information and support for your library's consumer health efforts
- Networking among nearly 900 information organizations in NY, NJ, PA and DE, including hospital, academic and public libraries, public health agencies, and community-based organizations

Initiatives
- Group Licensing Initiative (HSLANJ)
A group licensing membership to more than 300 hospital libraries in the Middle Atlantic Region
- MedPrint (Medical Serials Print Preservation Program)
The National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NN/LM) and the National Library of Medicine (NLM) are working to ensure the preservation of and continued access to the literature through a national cooperative medical serials print retention program (MedPrint)
