One of Our Network Members Received an NLM Award
Diane Rein will be receiving, along with four other collaborators from around the United States, a Special Achievement Group Award from the National Library of Medicine. The award recognizes their outstanding work in the development and teaching of “A Librarian’s Guide to NCBI” a 5-day face-to-face course being taught regularly at the National Center for Biotechnology Information and for their development of the online Foundations of Bioinformatics and Searching course which has become a pre-requisite for attending the NCBI course. The online course was developed with an award from the National Network of Libraries of Medicine, Middle Atlantic Region awarded to University of Buffalo with Diane as principal investigator.
The award will be presented at the 2013 NLM Honor Awards Ceremony on December 3 in the Lister Hill Center Auditorium. Congratulations to Diane on this outstanding national recognition.
